Maratus australis Otto and Hill, 2016 Southern Peacock Spider

This Peacock Spider from the south coast of WA is similar to and closely related to Maratus tasmanicus. It is found in leaf litter. Males have a large triangular fan with lobate flaps, each flap bearing a large black spot, and a narrow black line running along the front of each pedipalp. ♀ 6 mm
